Anne Marie Clémence Lesko

Anne Marie Clemence (Bonmartel) Lesko was born on February 17, 1935, in Bernay, France to Jean and Marguerite (Moriere) Bonmartel. Anne Marie passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Lesko; parents Jean and Marguerite, brothers Michel, Jean-Claude, and Jean-Pierre and sisters Colette, and Sylvette. Anne Marie is survived by son Olivier Lesko of Omaha, daughter Nicole Lesko and son-in-law Robert Wozny of Omaha, Sister Nicole Boniface of France. Anne Marie Bonmartel married Joe Lesko in Eveux, France on April 15, 1961. They had two children: Olivier and Nicole. Anne Marie worked as a pediatric nurse aide while in France. She came to America in 1961 speaking no English (learning it from American TV). The family initially moved to Lincoln, NE then settled in Omaha, NE. She also worked at the Omaha Granada Royale Hometel, Old Country Buffet, Donut Shop and was a home-based childcare provider for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and support for her family. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, shopping, spa days, card games, movies, boating/beach, throwing parties, and traveling (i.e., Panama, Europe, States on the West & East Coast, the Midwest, and several cruises). She was sassy and FUN. Spending time with her family and friends was a high priority. She touched the lives of many throughout her lifetime. With her dear friends, the Fishes, there was an infamous long standing marble game that went on for over 50 years and the ladies always won. Her passing leaves an unfillable void in her family lives, yet they will find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. A visitation will be held at Reichmuth Funeral Home (in Elkhorn, NE) from 10:30am to 11:30am on Saturday, February 8, 2025, followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:30am. After the service a luncheon for family and friends will be at Boyd and Charlie’s in Elkhorn, NE. Memorials may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude's, or the Alzheimer's Association. A private family burial will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery at a later date.
