Bryan James Polland

Bryan “Shine” James Polland age 36, of Elkhorn Nebraska entered the freedom highway completing his Dash on Wednesday August 7. 2024. Bryan made his arrival on October 24, 1987, second son born to Kathy A. (Vorel) and Rodney J. Polland. Bryan grew up in Elkhorn along with his siblings. Little brother to Justin and big brother to Joseph, Jacob, Kaitlin and Hailie, a job he took seriously and succeeded above and beyond. He received a bonus Dad, Gary Plagmann in 2013. He attended Elkhorn schools alongside many of his lifelong friends. Throughout his life he grew a love for motorcycles and started working at Dillion Harley beginning in detail and moving up to manager of Indian. There he was gifted with his nickname “Shine” because of his smile and personality. Everyone knows his true passion and Happy Place was forever in riding, working on and putting his custom details on a bike. Bryan was married to Randi Wortman in September of 2012 and was blessed with two children, Nash James, and Wells Reed. He loved his children with all his heart and his pride was expressed on his face whenever he was with or talked about them. Bryan took immense pride in watching them participate in their chosen activities from Football for Nash and Dancing for Wells. One can hear him forever yelling from the sidelines “Good Job Bud” and from the seats “You owned that stage.” Bryan was also a constant and loyal friend to many creating bonds that will continue for a lifetime. He has a remarkable ability to put a smile on others’ faces and bring laughter and fun into any situation. You could always count on him to throw good banter back and forth with his siblings at family gatherings. Those left to remember his incredible smile are his two boys Nash and Wells along with their mother Randi. His parents Kathy and Gary Plagmann and Rodney Polland. Brothers Justin (AnnaMarie) of Harrison AR, Joseph of Elkhorn NE, Dereck of Chicago, IL. Jacob (Adrian) Vasquez of Alameda CA, sisters Kaitlin (Connor) of Papillion NE and Hailie of Atlantic, IA., niece Isabella and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends who blessed his Life! He truly loved you all! Waiting to greet him with open arms are Bryan’s grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Vorel, Jerry and Beverly Polland, other family, and friends. Bryan’s Legacy of loyalty and family will forever live on in the hearts of those he held most dear. Celebration of life with friends and family will be held on Wednesday August 14, 2024. Visitation 4pm-7pm Memorial service 7pm. at Reichmuth In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
