Carol Ann Wolfe

Carol Ann Tubbs Wolfe was born on April 13, 1947 in Omaha Nebraska to Fred and Ethel (Moore) Tubbs. She grew up in Omaha attending Ralston grade school and graduating from Ralston High School in 1965. As a young girl, Carol developed a true passion for animals, especially dogs. Carol had a close friend Cheryl that she grew up with and they were like sisters. Carol was blessed with a son, Jeff Tubbs, on April 23, 1970 and as a hard working single mother, she worked hard to be the best mother she could be. Carol married James Wolfe on April 15, 1989 in Ralston, Nebraska and they blended their families and they have made their home in the Omaha area. Carol worked for most of her career with Hartford Insurance in the claims department. She enjoyed cross-stitch, camping, quilting, crafting and photography. Carol especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and camping trips to the Black Hills. The last year of her life, Carol loved going to watch her granddaughter Lily Tubbs race with all her heart and they did so many things together from playing funny face games, watching her race, Friday night sleepovers, crafts to just cuddling when Lily needed a friend. They were the best of friends and she taught Lily to always stay strong and never give up. She was a fun, energetic, loving and caring woman with the patience and compassion to listen when others had a problem. Her brothers Fred and Roger Tubbs were her protectors and they wouldn't let anything happen to their sister. Carol loved the beauty of yellow roses, the music of Neil Diamond and Sam Smith and the solace of a good book. She savored a good pizza, diet coke and dinner out at Village Inn. She had a close relationship to her little sister Laura Tubbs. They did so many things together. From making quilts to holding Laura’s hand while she passed. Laura’s passing was the hardest thing she ever went through. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved to watch everyone open their gifts. At the end of life she found god and she wanted Lily to hear her that she believed. That was important to Lily that Carol did find God. Carol passed away at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, March 06, 2015 with Jim by her side, holding her hand, at the age of 67 years, 10months and 16 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ethel, sister Laura and brother William. Carol is survived by her husband Jim; children Jeff and Jen Tubbs of Omaha, NE; Theresa Brawner of Lincoln, NE; Brian and Hillary Wolfe of Tucson, AZ; Charlotte and Cory Erspamer of Omaha; Jim Wolfe, Jr of Mondamin, IA and Anthony and Erin Wolfe of Council Bluffs, IA; 12 grandchildren; brothers Fred (Sue) Tubbs of Omaha and Roger (JoAnn) Tubbs of Gretna, NE; dear cousins
