Charles Robert Welshiemer

Charles Robert Welshiemer was born on October 10, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio to Robert and June (Serviss) Welshiemer. He grew up in Springfield until his senior year of high school when the family moved to Raton, New Mexico. Bob graduated from Raton High School in 1955. As a young boy, Bob was active in football as quarterback, Future Farmers of America and helping on the family dairy farm. His senior year was voted most handsome by his high school classmates. Bob married Dolores (Dolly) Ulibarri at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Raton, New Mexico and to this union four sons were born: Bobby, Randy, Ron and Rick. Bob and Dolly have made their home in Raton, NM, Alamosa, CO , Albuequerque, NM, Fullerton, CA and Laguna Niguel, CA before moving to Omaha in 1993. Bob has owned several companies, mostly in the heavy equipment construction and trucking industries. He enjoyed racquetball, golf, trips to the ocean to boogie board and family gatherings. Bob was a generous and caring man who maintained long-term relationships with his employees. He was loving, devoted, sincere and optimistic. Bob enjoyed country western music and movies, supported the Huskers but most of all he treasured the times that the family could gather together. Bob was a devout Catholic and lived by the motto that “ Do Not Quit, God will take care of it”. Bob passed away on April 28, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 18 days. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and June , brother Frank and sons Bobby and Randy. Bob is survived by his wife Dolly; sons and daughter-in-law Ron of Omaha and Rick and Robin of Canyon Lake, CA; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
