George Wilson Webb

George Wilson Webb, a man of unwavering kindness and gentle spirit, left us on November 26, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on August 9, 1951, in Panama City Beach, Florida, to Jimmy & Mildred Webb growing up with his 3 sisters Jeanette, Janice, and Marsha. George attended Highschool in Albany GA. prior to being drafted by the US Army in 1971. George served his country with honor. His unwavering commitment to duty and selfless service were a testament to his character. George's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, hard work and service. Following his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career in the food industry working for Lykes in Georgia then transferring to Tampa, where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family. In 1989 George took a Job with MPS-Tyson Foods here in the Millard area where he finished his career after nearly 30 years there, retiring in Jan 2017. Beyond his professional life, George was a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, Kathy married for 51 years, their daughter, Hope, and their precious granddaughter, McKenna. His love for his family was boundless, and he poured his heart and soul into them. George found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Fan of a good steak, a sweet treat, or anything off the grill. Early in life George was a sun lover with a great appreciation for nice dark tan. He was avid fisherman, an artist with a keen eye for beauty and the abstract, and had an obsession for the yard and his trees. He would often roam the yard, finding peace in the gentle sway of the trees figuring out which limbs to cut off. If he couldn't trim his own trees he'd gladly take the saw to neighbors or family' trees... if they'd let him (you were on your own to clean up the limbs though). As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary man, let us celebrate his life and the profound impact he had on those around him. His kindness, his unwavering support, and his infectious humor will forever echo in our hearts. Though he may be gone, his spirit lives on in the memories we cherish. George is survived by his wife, Kathy, and daughter, Hope (Matt) Haney, granddaughter, McKenna Haney, sisters, Jeanette Kosiewski, Janice (Billy) Hall, Marsha (Ronny) Harrell, and several nieces and a nephew. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
