Shaneyfelt, Judy age 51 of Elkhorn, NE Judy is survived by her husband Rick; sons Ryan and Jason of Elkhorn; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Brian Sullivan of Lincoln; grandson Rylen Sullivan; step-grandchildren Brittany Sullivan and Trenton Richardson; parents Duane and Irene Daubendiek of Beatrice, NE; brother Steve Daubendiek of Omaha; sister and brothers-in-law Linda and Bill Himmelberg and Kathy and Greg Stephens all of Lincoln; in-laws Glenn and Lola Shaneyfelt of Norfolk, NE; nephews Brett Himmelberg and his wife Jessica and Matthew and Jared Himmelberg of Lincoln. Preceded in death by her mother-in-law Dena Shaneyfelt and niece Holly Himmelberg. Visitation Sunday noon to 5 PM with family receiving friends from noon to 2 PM at the funeral home. She was baptized on July 5, 1959 and confirmed in 1973 at St. Paul*s Lutheran Church in Beatrice. Judy grew up on a farm northwest of Beatrice where she attended Blue Ridge Country School and graduated from Tri-County High School in 1977. Judy received an Associate Degree at UNL in 1980 and her Bachelor*s Degree in Nursing at UNMC in 1982. As a young girl, Judy enjoyed sewing and cooking and was active in 4-H, Pep Club and Chorus. Judy married Rick Shaneyfelt on June 27, 1981 at St. Paul*s Lutheran Church in Beatrice, Nebraska and to this union three children were born: Michelle, Ryan and Jason. Judy and Rick lived in Millard before settling in Elkhorn. Judy has spent her career as a Registered Nurse working in a number of different settings. She worked at Immanuel Hospital, for several Doctors in their offices and most recently at Lakeside Hospital. Judy enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, Nebraska football, working out and being active in her church. Judy and her family are members at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. Judy is remembered as a leader, well organized, loving and kind. She would go the extra mile for anyone and looked for ways to be helpful. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Judy passed away on December 5, 2010 in Oklahoma, the result of an automobile accident while her family was returning from a Nebraska football game. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Dena Shaneyfelt and niece Holly Himmelberg.
