Kim Marie Koenig

Kim Marie Koenig, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on March 13, 1956, in Appleton, Wisconsin, Kim's vibrant spirit, warm heart, and unwavering loyalty to her roots left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Kim was the beloved daughter of Bruce and Mae Miller. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Office Management from Northern Michigan University. She dedicated much of her professional life to the financial services industry, working as a Registered Representative (Series 7 and 63), where she assisted brokers and portfolio managers with diligence and care. In her younger years, Kim enjoyed sewing and expressing her creativity through handmade projects. A proud and lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, she waited over 30 years to obtain Packers season tickets and cherished the moments she spent at Lambeau Field. Her heart never left Wisconsin—her fondness for cheese curds and frequent visits to her hometown of Appleton were a testament to her deep connection to her roots. Kim was preceded in death by her brother Tim. She is survived by her loving husband, Allan Koenig, whom she married on May 29, 1982, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Appleton, Wisconsin. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two beloved daughters, Leann and Christine. Kim's greatest joy was her family, and she was a proud and devoted grandmother to her three grandsons and one granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister Connie and brother Todd. A funeral service will be held on August 12, 2025, with family visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service. Guests are invited to join the family for a luncheon at the funeral home after the service. In honor of Kim's fondness for the Packers and Wisconsin Badgers football teams and her nature to have a bit of irreverent fun, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite football team apparel. In lieu of flowers, donations directed to the family will be given to "Fresh Hope for Mental Health," a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mental wellness in the community and "Apple Blossoms for Appleton", a non-profit that plants apple trees to beautify trails and parks in Kim's hometown. Kim's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
