Randy J. Miller

Randall Joshua Miller was born March 24, 1979 in Newark, Ohio. Randy grew up in Ohio, but moved to Valley, Nebraska when he was in the 8th grade. He attended school in Valley, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hanging with his friends, and cruising the backroads around town. But most of all, he both picked on and protected his sister, Amanda. He would torment her, but if anyone else gave her trouble, they had to deal with Randy, and they could even end up duct taped to a street sign! Randy married Alexandria Dillon on October 18, 2006. He became Dad to her daughter, Natalie, and the couple welcomed three other children; Nathan, Madison and Korbin. His kids were the love of his life, and he would do anything for them. Randy worked for several years with Vrana, and most recently had been doing contract construction work. He still loved going fishing at Dodge Park, or camping at Elkhorn Crossing. He enjoyed anything where he could be outdoors, grilling, and spending time with his family. He could always be found cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and will be remembered for his contagious laugh, and his love of his family. Randy died suddenly on February 3, 2016 at the Methodist Women’s Hospital in Elkhorn, Nebraska at the age of 36 years, 10 months, and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Bush. Randy is survived by many people who loved him and will miss him: his wife Alex, and their children; Natalie Dillon, and Nathan, Madison, and Korbin Miller, his mother Tina Miller, step mother Pamela Bush, sister Amanda (Josh) Blunt, 17 nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Sarah, Samantha & Mark, Amanda & Peter, Devon, Sydney & Ashton, Abbey & Ryan; and parents-in-law: Tim & Michelle Dillon; stepsister Macy Waldecker, and step brother Herbie Myers; as well as an amazing friend, Andy Liekhus (another brother, in a sense) Randy J. Miller, age 36, of LaVista, died 2/3/16. Survived by wife Alex, and children; Natalie, Nathan, Madison, and Korbin, mother Tina Miller, step mother Pamela Bush, sister Amanda (Josh) Blunt, nephews Dylan and Garrett Blunt, stepsister Macy Waldecker, and step brother Herbie Myers. Funeral service Monday at 3 PM at the funeral home in Elkhorn with visitation from 1-3 PM before the service. Private interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery of Elkhorn at a later date.
