Robin Swolley

Robin L. Swolley, age 63 of Valley, NE, died at her home peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was born on September 11, 1957 in Council Bluffs, IA, and later adopted by Frank and Dorothy (Hollingsworth) Stormer. Robin AKA Nana to most lived a full life After Finishing her G.E.D Robin married her first love David Swolley at age 17 soon as David got out of boot camp they were stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii where they had their first-born Jacob Eugene Swolley. Year later moved to camp Lejeune, North Carolina TT2. Shortly finding out they were pregnant with their second born Brandy Lynn Swolley. David got sent to Germany and Robin moved to Oklahoma to be close to her parents during the birth shortly after David joined Robin in Oklahoma and moved to 29 palms California 4 years later there was a third surprise, Toby James Swolley. Shortly after they were stationed back in camp Lejeune, North Carolina where Robin suffered a hard divorce of David & parting way from her kids which was very hard for her. Finding new journey in life Robin moved back to San Diego, California and years later, joined by her 1st born, Jacob where they lived for several years before returning back be closer to the family to Omaha, NE. Robin was hard worker all her life. Started as Babysitter at age 12 and then Medical Records in Hospitals to Assistant Manager of Taco Bell. Breast Cancer hit her hard the year of 2003 been health roller coaster after putting her on Disability for life. Robin moved to Valley, NE 2014 where she Spent her final days. Robin AKA Nana claims a total of 15 grandkids four of them being biological. Nana loves her grandkids very much they were her pride and joy, they are Michael"BooBoos", Sheyenne"Bubby", Jordan" little birdie", Aiden and Alexis"Lettie Lou". Nana also loved her granddogs" Bruce and Darla". Robin's closest sibling would be her sister, Ruth Swolley, they were always there for each other to vent or just to say hello sissy I love you. Robin leaves behind several nieces and nephews who she loved very very much and wishes she was able to spend more time with. Robin's last few years have been really hard, her health was going downhill fast and was fighting every last breath to see her granddaughter, Shyenne graduate which was May 15th 2021. It was one of the happiest days. Robin's words were we did it 'B' we did good and we made it to this day. A special request was made by Robin AKA Nana to give a Huge Thank you and appreciation to her nephew, Joshua Stormer and Joshua McIntosh a family friend and Nana's best bud these two men have been side by side for several years helping and just being support system. Their help and unconditional love were greatly appreciated, we love you both very much. Ending this with a "WHAT” DON’T CRY! As I am now your Sunshine When the skies are gray look up, I'm always here and I love you all very much. ❤️Nana. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Frank and Dorothy (Hollingsworth) Stormer; sister, Rebecca Mack and a brother, Ralph Stormer. Robin is survived by: her children, Jacob Swolley of Bellevue, NE, Brandy Swolley of Valley, NE and Toby Swolley of Exira, IA; grandchildren, Michael, Jordan and Shyenne Swolley, and Aiden Valentine; sisters, Roxanne Gast of Glenwood, IA and Rhonda Ellis of McAlister, OK; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn with Rev. Carl Ratcliff officiating.
