Christina Lea Crawford was born on June 8, 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska to Frances Lea Meisenheimer. She grew up along with her sister, Candice in Bellevue, Nebraska. As a child, she enjoyed playing with Barbie's and baby dolls, playing board games (Monopoly was her favorite), and cooking with her mom. After high school, Chris learned bookkeeping and was self-taught on Quickbooks. She eventually moved to Lincoln and began working in property management. She thrived with this type of work and loved what she was doing. She was blessed with three children whom she cherished: Danial, Nicholas, and Chloe. Being outside in the sunshine brought Christina great joy. Her favorite way to spend time outside was gardening, planting both vegetables and flowers. Hydrangeas were Chris’s favorite flower, but she loved them all. The fresh vegetables from her garden would be incorporated into her meals, and she was always trying new recipes. Along with working in the garden, Chris was always sure to keep her yard picked up. She also kept her house extremely organized and did not let it get messy or cluttered. Dirty carpet and toilet paper facing the wrong way were pet peeves of hers. She also hated wastefulness and would recycle as much as possible. Reading was important to Chris; she especially enjoyed anything written by Stephen King. As her children were growing up, she would read to them each night before they went to bed. Her preferred type of music was old Rock N’ Roll, with Mӧtley Crüe being one of her favorite bands. Pretty Woman was her favorite movie, and she also enjoyed all of the Marvel films. Chris wasn’t a big sports fan, but she did appreciate getting in a nice nap during Husker games. Her morning cup of coffee was an important part of her daily routine, and she also found relaxation by using the Calm App for meditation. Getting packages in the mail would brighten Chris’s day, and therefore she had multiple monthly subscriptions. Chris loved to do her hair and make-up and dress nice, it was important to her to always be put together. She was a very welcoming person, and she loved to entertain company. She was always there to let you “spill the tea”. As she was visiting with you, her giggle and smirk as she would nod were her trademark. One of her favorite things to talk about was politics. She was a strong advocate for women’s rights and she adored Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Her wish was that everyone would educate themselves and vote. Family and friends will remember Chris as a beautiful, sharp, compassionate, protective, and selfless woman. She saw the best in everyone and took great pride in helping those in need. Surprising others with the absolute perfect gift was something that brought her joy. Chris did not like entitlement, and showed her kids dignity, strength of character, and responsibility. She adored her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible. Chris was also resilient, courageous, and the strongest person her family knew. She demonstrated this over the past five years as she battled cancer with unwavering courage. Chris passed away on June 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Christina was preceded in death by her grandson, James Cliber-Rodriguez; mother, Frances Meisenheimer; and son, Nicholas Crawford. She is survived by her son, Danial (Alex) Crawford and their son, Zander; daughter, Chloe (Brandon) Cliber-Rodriguez and their daughter, Nichole; Bonus Child, Suha Al-Dabbi; sister, Candice (Phil) Janulewicz, and nieces and nephew. VISITATION: 6-8PM Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Reichmuth Funeral Home. FUNERAL SERVICE: 12PM Monday, June 13, 2022 at Reichmuth Funeral Home. INURNMENT: Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn. Memorials to the family for later designation.
