James Warren Haines Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James Warren Haines was born on September 26, 1941 to Warren and Anna Haines (Janosek) in Omaha, Nebraska. He lived his whole life in the Omaha/Elkhorn area. He attended Madison grade school and South High. When young, his playground was Mandan Park. He loved biking, fishing, and running around getting into mischief with his best friend John Slezak and the rest of the SOBs (South Omaha Boys). Jim and Karen were married at Cross Lutheran Church on October 22, 1960 and were faithfully united for 61 years. They had four daughters. Because he never had a son, he joined Big Brothers and mentored Paul for many years. He was a member of Westside Church for 42 years and served as a Deacon. Jim always hustled and was hard-working. He started out working at the Omaha Stockyards, then worked for OPPD before joining Cahoon Sales. He loved traveling the world and enjoyed his home in the Lake of the Ozarks. Jim and Karen were snowbirds, and spent the last 13 winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Jim was promoted to his heavenly home with Jesus on January 21, 2022. He was surrounded by his wife, Karen, and their four daughters, Susan (Tim), Melinda (Chuck), Nianna (Mike), and Rebecca (Jason). He loved his grandchildren, Zachary (Jenna), Christopher, Kailey (Ian), Alissa (Chase), Matthew (Hannah), Mallory, Bailey, and Avery, and his great-grandchildren, Elijah, Mason, Adalena, Kinlee, Olivia, and Carter.
