Paul William Peitzmeier Sr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Paul Peitzmeier, Sr age 83 of Yutan, NE, died at Compassionate Memory Care in Omaha on Monday, October 26, 2020. He was born the son of Paul Henry and Rose Mary (Erhart) Peitzmeier on June 26, 1937 in St. Patrick’s, Missouri. He graduated from the St. Patrick’s High School. Paul was united in marriage to Laura J. George on November 14, 1959 at Nebraska City, Nebraska during a blizzard. For many years, Paul was a Machinist for AT&T in Omaha. Paul, the meaning "humble" and "small". The definition is suiting, however, not definitive of his love for his wife, children and family. Paul's love extended many directions in the outdoors where he traveled to Valentine for deer hunting and enjoyed many camping trips that extended to Yellowstone National Park, camping with family in Missouri and Illinois as well as outings close to home at local lakes and campgrounds. Beyond Paul's love of the outdoors, he enjoyed playing pool, bowling and countless hours on his CB radio under the call name Country Kicker. His favorite past time though, was playing his guitars either alone or with friends...yes, the good ol days! Paul was forced to slow down 21 years ago after a stroke nearly ended his life and altering his way of life for his remaining years. Paul embraced a much slower pace and embraced his love of majestic eagles, and watching the playful squirrels and birds outside his window. Your friendly visiting birds and squirrels have gone with you.. now Paul, you can rest your eyes. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Paul Henry and Rose Mary (Erhart) Peitzmeier; brother, Robert; sisters, Delores Paul and Mercedes Long. Paul is survived by: his wife, Laura Peitzmeier of Yutan; sons, Paul (Tina) Peitzmeier of Joplin, MO and Jeffrey (Theresa) Peitzmeier of Leshara; daughters, Lorrie Ann Bauer (Tony Wilson) of Twin Falls, ID and Christine Peitzmeier of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren and Two great great grandchildren; brother, Michael Peitzmeier of Illinois; and sisters, Mary Jo Joles and Virginia Martin also of Illinois. A memorial can be made to the Yutan Fire and Rescue and can be mailed to the funeral home.
