William Anthony Hulten
July 8, 1946 - December 17, 2021
Retired United States Marine, trucker, train enthusiast, and avid story teller, William (Bill) Hulten's love for life didn't end with his death. Bill passed away on Friday December 17th 2021 embraced by his dearest wife of 42 years, Debbie Hulten. Bill and Debbie were married on August 22nd 1979 in Lake Tahoe, California. They settled in Waterloo, Nebraska where they raised their family. Bill built his career in truck driving where he proudly bestowed his trucks name, DB's Express, and listed the names of his grandchildren on the side of his semi-truck. Mr. Bill is survived by his wife, Debra Hulten, 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. His eldest son, Richard Jensen; grandchildren Trevor, Casandra, Alyssa, and Erika; great grandchildren Carter and Delilah; his first born daughter, Jennifer Brooke; grandchildren Hayden and Hudsen; his son Michael (April) Jensen; grandchildren Jesse, Makenzi, Kayden, and Riley; great grandson Guy; his youngest daughter Billie Graves; granddaughter Zoe. As well as his sister Ann (Jerald) Cerri; his brother Jim Hulten; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mora Hulten; his father and mother-in-law, John and Norma Hopkins; and brother Bill. The simple pleasures in life brought Bill a great deal of happiness. Bill's family plans to honor his love for life by counting the train engines as they pass, rooting for the San Francisco 49ers and Giants, and living each moment to it's fullest. Join us in laying Bill to rest Monday, December 27th at 11AM at the Omaha National Cemetery near Springfield Nebraska, followed by a celebration of his life at the American Legion in Millard NE.
