Zane Fezette Scott

March 22, 2017 - March 15, 2022

Zane was born on March 22, 2017 in Omaha, Nebraska. He met his parents Matt and Kristy Scott at 2 ½ weeks old. He was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. Throughout his life Zane had multiple heart surgeries along with many other procedures. Zane lived his first year of life at Children's Hospital with his family by his side. Zane has six siblings, Zachary, Brittany, Molly, Madison, Alexander and Owen. He loved his family and they all loved him. His favorite things were to play with his siblings and all of his toys, snuggle with his mother and watch Cocomelon. Even with all of medical struggles, Zane was somewhat of jokester. To get attention, he would disconnect his vent to make it alarm. Then he would anxiously wait for someone to come in the room to check on him. Then when you reconnected the vent, Zane would grab you, pull you close and then laugh. Zane had the biggest smile that would light up a room. He smiled the brightest when he was with his mother. Zane was loved by so many people. He spent a big chunk of his brief life in the hospital. He had an amazing medical team at Children's Hospital in Omaha, and they were like family to Zane. Before Zane passed, he went on his first vacation to Salt Lake City, Utah. Zane got to see the mountains for the first time. After arriving Zane became ill. He was admitted to Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital. It was not long before the medical team were touched by Zane’s love and his bond with family, especially his mother. Zane passed away on March 15, 2022, just one week shy of his 5th birthday surrounded by his family. Zane is survived by his parents, Matt and Kristy Scott; siblings: Zachary, Brittany, Molly, Madison, Alexander, and Owen; grandparents, Cora and Jack Snyder, Pat Borrink, and Fred Borrink; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his wonderful care team at Children’s Hospital. He was preceded in death by his aunts, Vicki and Mary Jo and uncles, Mike, David, and Jeff. VISITAITON: 12-1pm Saturday April 2nd at Reichmuth Funeral Home.
