Anna Marie Plambeck

Anna Marie Quinn was born to John B. And Veronica Goldie (Grimm) Quinn on May 11, 1939 as the second of seven children. She grew up on the family farm in Elkhorn. As the oldest daughter Anna Marie was her mother‘s big helper in caring for her younger siblings. Anna Marie graduated from Elkhorn High School then went on to work at Mutual of Omaha. She met her husband Dennis on a blind date and later married in February 1960. Together they built a home on the Plambeck family farm west of Millard where they went on to have their four children who gave them seven grandchildren. On the farm Anna Marie had a large garden and canned many vegetables. She was a member of the Millard Chapter of the Douglas County Extension Club and a 4-H leader for her daughters as well as her sons. She and Dennis both enjoyed many years with Millard bowling leagues at Western Bowl. They enjoyed many years traveling to Branson frequently and attending Kansas City Royals Baseball games. She loved spending time with her grandkids baking & decorating Christmas cookies, having sleepovers, scavenger hunts and attending all of their many activities. In 1993 they moved from the Family Farm, which is now Millard West High School, to just 5 short blocks west and lived there until 2017 when they moved to retirement living. Anna Marie passed on April 25, 2026 at the age of 86 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dennis, parents John and Goldie Quinn, brothers Jack Quinn, Jim Quinn, son-in-law Bob Hubbard and sister-in-law Ellen Quinn. Anna Marie is survived by children Cheryl & Dan Polodna of Omaha, Linda Hubbard of Elkhorn, Mike & Leann Plambeck of Gretna and Matt & Christy Plambeck of Elkhorn: grandchildren Nick (Madisen), Jake, Katie, Madelyn, Mike Jr., Garett and Lilly; and her siblings: Roger Quinn of Elkhorn, Patty (Ken) Crawford of Maineville, OH, Betty (Bob) Trinco of Darien, IL , Joyce (Greg) Suelter of Lincoln and Sisters-in-law Marilyn Quinn of Omaha and Pam Quinn of Huxley, IA Mass of the Christian Burial Friday, 10:30 AM at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation Thursday at Reichmuth Funeral Home, Elkhorn from 5-7 PM with a Wake service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for later designation.
