Baron Kendal Keller

Baron K. Keller (1966 – 2024) Baron was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, by his parents, Ronald and Sharon Keller. As a boy, Baron enjoyed playing little league baseball. He would imitate Pete Rose by sliding head first when approaching bases, whether he needed to or not. We think he just liked to see how dirty he could get. Baron had fond memories of walking across a field to get to his nearby grandparent’s house to enjoy some of his grandma’s famous chocolate chip cookies. He also had a special bond with his grandpa Frink. Baron graduated from Burke High School in 1984. Baron married Rubie Carroll in December of 1985 and they were blessed with three children, Krystall, Christopher, Chana and his stepdaughter Vinetta. They were also blessed with 12 grandchildren. Baron drove a taxi in the Omaha area for over 25 years, helping many people get home safely. He built lasting relationships with his clients, so much so, some client’s entrusted him to take care of their pets when they were on vacation. Working nights in his profession lent to some crazy stories! Baron was a lifelong Oklahoma football fan, even going as far as getting an “OU” tattoo, and in some parts of Nebraska this could still be considered a hangable offense. He also enjoyed watching his LA Dodgers play baseball. Baron spent many hours listening to his police scanner, sometimes even recruiting his best friend or his daughter to go with him on ride-a-longs to follow exciting police calls. He enjoyed playing video games and shared his love of Elvis with his mother. From an early age, all kinds of animals were drawn to Baron. He loved animals, but had a special place in his heart for raccoons. He used to feed them, practically by hand. He loved sharing videos of his raccoon friends. You may have even seen him sporting a raccoon hat that his uncle Randy gave to him. Baron lived life on his own terms, mostly carefree. He had a great sense of humor, always using laughter to deal with life’s challenges. Baron was a kind hearted soul, never wanting to hurt anyone’s feelings. He loved to make people laugh. After meeting Baron, you typically did not forget him. He was unforgettable. Baron passed away on August 5, 2024, at Methodist Hospital at the age of 58 years. Despite his medical issues, Baron kept a positive outlook on life. Baron said he had a good life and that he wants others to remember him by the laughter they shared together, hoping it will put a smile on their face. He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Sharon. Baron is survived by his daughters Krystall (Anthony) Keller-Jacket and Chana Keller; son Christopher (Kourtney) Keller; stepdaughter; Vinetta Keller; 12 grandchildren; and sister Ronda (Scott) Vencil. Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society.
