Brianna Joy Baumert

Celebrating the Life of Brianna Joy Baumert Brianna was born and raised in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Her parents are Tom and Cristi Baumert and she has one brother, Beau. Brianna graduated from Elkhorn Public High School in 2006 where she was a member of the chorus, tennis team volleyball team, swing choir, National Honor Society and theatre group. She attended college at UNL for a semester and a year and a half at Metro Community College. She was enrolled to begin classes at Wayne State College starting in January. Brianna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elkhorn. Brianna lived life to its fullest. She was happiest when she was with family and friends. Brianna was an amazing artist ~ anything she worked with became a piece of art. Paintings, designs, sculptures, and drawings all proved how talented she was with her gift. Brianna loved singing and would break out into song and dance at any given moment. Brianna brought joy to her family's hearts and enjoyed all the many times they were all together. Her beautiful smile was contagious and her laugh made you smile. Throughout her life, Brianna made friends wherever she was. Her friends were an extremely important part of her life and she loved spending her free time with them doing whatever. As long as they were together, she was happy. Even if it was the first time she met someone, she would have them on the floor laughing and treat them like a life-long friend. Brianna died doing the things she loved. She had a great Christmas with both sides of her family the week before, and was on a trip with some of the friends that meant so much to her. Although she is gone, her spirit will live on forever in all the lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Phyllis Baumert. Brianna is survived by her parents Tom and Cristi of Elkhorn; brother Beau of Elkhorn; grandparents John Baumert of Elkhorn, Harriet Meyer of Walthill, NE, and Clay and Jo Meyer of Walthill, NE; aunts and uncles Rod Nelson and Jacky McMenamin-Nelson of Elkhorn, Doug and Janey Gustin of Rosalie, NE, Greg and Debbie Meyer of Pender, NE, Randy Meyer of Arlington, WA, Jeff Meyer of Murrieta, CA, Kip Meyer of Omaha, and Clay and Kim Meyer of Nerang, Queensland, Australia, and many cousins and dear friends.
