Cindy Ann Flock

Cynthia Ann Flock was born on June, 19, 1965 to Robert Sr. and Lorraine (Druskis) Colby. Cindy grew up in Omaha, NE where she attended Robbins Elementary and graduated from South High School in 1983. After high school, Cindy attended Capital Hair School and became a cosmetologist. Cindy also graduated as a phlebotomist in 2013. Growing up, Cindy enjoyed camping, fishing, attending concerts and traveling to Canada and Arizona with family. Cindy was previously married to Jerry Wayne Fritz Jr. and they remarried on October 17, 2022 in Wahoo, NE. Cindy has one child from a previous relationship, Joshua Colby. Together, Cindy and Jerry raised two children, Cody Fritz and Chaylyn McColley. Cindy has four grandchildren, Devan, Elizabeth, Anton and Mitchell. Cindy worked for many years as a hair stylist and phlebotomist,as well as quality improvement at Malnove and a lunchroom supervisor at Fire Ridge Elementary. Cindy was a loving, strong, resilient, fun-loving woman with a heart of gold. She enjoyed attending Shania Twain and other country concerts with her daughter. She especially loved yelling "turn it up" when 3AM by Matchbox Twenty came on the radio. Her favorite color was blue and she loved the movie Road House. Cindy enjoyed popcorn and Chinese food, and sipping on Diet Pepsi and Bacardi or tea. She loved camping and fishing. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Cindy was always doing one of five things, watching tv, baking, cleaning, having a few drinks by the fire or adding to the never-ending honey-do list for Jerry. Cindy was not one for surprises and although Jerry loved to scare her, she was not a fan. Each year for Christmas, Cindy and her daughter would make over 20 kinds of cookies for the holidays and give them to family, friends and neighbors. Cindy loved Christmas and getting to see the joy on her children's faces as they opened presents. Cindy will be remembered as the type of woman who would give everything she had to help someone and never expect anything in return. Cindy passed away suddenly on September 29, 2023 at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 10 days. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sr. and Lorraine Colby, her sister Bonnie Ernst and her nephew Matthew McShannon. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Fritz Jr., her children: Josh and Kristina Colby, Cody Fritz and Chaylyn and Tornell McColley, grandchildren: Devan, Elizabeth, Anton and Mitchell, sisters Sherry and Mark Sambasile, and Penny McShannon, brothers, Robert Jr. and Julie Colby and James and Shawna Colby and mother-in-law Shari Fritz, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of Life service 11 AM Saturday with visitation one hour prior to the service at Reichmuth Funeral Home, Yutan. Private interment. Memorials to the family for later designation.
