Lisa Marie Watkins

Lisa Marie (Faust) Watkins was born in Albion Nebraska on October 21, 1962. The youngest daughter of Leo and LaDonna Faust. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in Valley, Nebraska. She had five siblings, Jaci, Mike, David, Lori and Greg. She graduated from Valley High School in 1980. She married Danny Watkins on a hot August day in 1988. She had two children, Danielle and Aaron, and there were countless others who called her Mom as well. She was Grandma to Hayden and Taylor, and several nieces and nephews. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay, or a meal to eat. Lisa was a very creative, talented person, she loved to draw, paint, and sew. She could make just about anything from costumes to dolls. ...and she could cook! For a while, she worked with her Mom, cooking at the Valley Bowling Alley. Lisa was a kind, soft hearted woman who always leant her ear to listen, her shoulder to cry on, and shared her laughter with all. She had the warmest, most welcoming smile and gave the best hugs. She loved to laugh and joke around. Lisa had a way with animals. She loved them, and they loved her. She had a habit of fiddling with her fingers and hands when she was nervous or afraid, and you would often see her relaxing by rocking back and forth in her chair. She always smelt of Vanderbilt perfume. Lisa was a collector of trinkets. She loved her Mary Moo Moos and precious moment figurines, and crystal ware. Her kitchen decor was either cows or chickens. She was a very proud woman, she fought hard for her family and always made sure everyone had what they needed. She was particular and knew what she liked, at the same time, she was accepting, understanding, forgiving, and caring. She loved her friends like they were family and had enough stories and memories to last a lifetime. Lisa Marie Watkins, 60, of Valley, passed away on 02/19/2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and LaDonna (Chavanu) Faust. Survived by husband; Danny Watkins, son; Aaron Watkins, daughter; Danielle Gottsch, grandsons; Hayden and Taylor Gottsch, brothers; Mike Faust, David Faust, and Greg Faust, sisters; Jaci (Robert) Ryan and Lori Faust. There will be a Celebration of Life Service, 11:00 am Saturday, at The Campus Community Center (921 S. Mayne Street, Valley NE). Memorials to the family for later designation
