Patti Ann Boyle

Patti Ann Boyle (née Bentley) was born December 3, 1955 in upstate New York. She graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in Plymouth, PA. After graduating high school, she met the love of her life, Ned Boyle, on a blind date. On June 5, 1976 Patti and Ned married in Kingston, PA. Committed to a life of thrilling adventure, they made the spontaneous decision of where to move as newlyweds by closing their eyes and pointing to a map where they landed on Omaha. They had three children together, Kayla, Shauna, and Michael and put down roots in Elkhorn. Patti spent much of her career working for First Data. Her strong work ethic propelled her from key-punch operator to COO. She worked for First Data for over two decades in Omaha, California, and England before retiring in 2000. Patti devoted endless time and energy to helping others. Over the years, she raised funds for numerous charitable causes, especially in the developing world. She and Ned owned Blue Summit, a fair-trade gift store in Omaha that supported artisans in developing countries with fair wages for their crafts. Lovingly known to friends and family as “Power Planning Patti”, she loved planning her next adventure. She traveled to dozens of countries and found joy in every journey. She was happiest watching sunsets over lakes and oceans where she could take in the peaceful beauty around her. She devoted her time and money to causes close to her heart. Patti was particularly passionate about supporting causes that uplift women and girls in poverty around the world. She leaves a legacy of compassion and quiet generosity. She passed away peacefully on July 25. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Helen, brother Gene, and husband of 33 years Ned. She is survived by her sister Barbara, children Kayla (Adam) and step-grandchildren Alyse, Lilly, and Brody of Omaha; Shauna (Chad) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Michael (Josephine) and grandson Seamus of Clovis, California; as well as nieces and nephews.
