Philip Michael Milone

With deep sorrow and immense love, we share the passing of Phil Milone, who left us far too soon on February 25, 2026 at the age of 50. Though his time here was shorter than we ever expected, he filled it with fun, laughter, and a love for his children that will never fade. He was born on February 1, 1976 in Omaha, NE to Maggie Osborn and Mike Milone. After graduating from Millard North High School in 1994, Phil attended The University of Nebraska at Omaha, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Information Systems Degree in 1999. He then went onto have a meaningful career at Boys Town, impacting many lives for 27 years. Phil grew into a man known for his generous heart, strong opinions about husker football, and a quiet strength that held his family together even when life felt uncertain. He believed that love was something you showed—not just something you said. If you walked into his home, chances are you would find him in the kitchen. Cooking wasn’t just a hobby for him; it was his love language. He cooked the way he lived—fully invested. Feeding people was his way of caring for them. No one ever left his table hungry. When he wasn’t cooking, he was often fishing whether it was alone or with the many people he loved, always coming back with stories to tell. Often embellished. But above all else, Phil loved his children, Gabrielle, Dominic and Victoria. Being a father was his greatest joy. He was endlessly proud of all they were becoming. He showed his love in everyday moments – offering advice (whether asked for or not), fixing what was broken, and reminding them that a late-night ice cream run was just a call away. He married Tamra Milone on August 11, 2001. Although he and his wife were separated, some bonds run deeper than circumstance. Their shared history, their family, and the love they built through their children remained meaningful to them and they remained very close friends. Phil’s passing leaves an ache that words cannot measure. There will be milestones he should have been here for, conversations we wish we could still have, and hugs we weren’t ready to let go of. He was taken from us too soon, but his strength lives on in his children and all the lives he touched. His stories will be told for generations. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Milone, grandparents Tony & Beverly Milone, and uncle Pat Milone. Phil is survived by wife Tamra, children: Gabrielle, Dominic and Victoria; his mother Maggie Osborn; brother Paul (Catherine) Milone and sister Kelly Peterson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as his very best cuz Chandra Marks, his special person Allison Shaw, and so many close friends. Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, March 7 at Noon at Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn, with visitation from 10 AM to Noon prior to the service. Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn. Memorials may be made to the family.
